The grill is the engine that makes this website run. And just like real engines that run on all sorts of different fuels (gas, diesel, hydrogen, electric, etc) and still get you where you’re going, at GrillinFools.com, we are fuel agnostic. We know that no matter the fuel, for the most part, any heat source will get us where we are going.

And where are we going? We are going to Flavortown. Whether riding on the tried and true charcoal or on the most popular fuel source, gas. That’s right. All you charcoal snobs are going to find plenty of recipes done on gas grills here. Before making snide comments, realize you just need to cook that same recipe on a charcoal grill and skip the snark. And don’t forget the magic that can happen if you bust out the blowtorch (also powered by gas!)

But we also love the set-it-and-forget-it convenience of pellet cookers. Again, charcoal guys, particularly you offset guys, please don’t go there. Last I checked the top 10 of the Royal, Memphis in May and the Jack are not 100% charcoal cookers. I absolutely love dropping my thanksgiving turkey or Christmas roast beast on the pellet grill and be able to check the temps of both the grill and the bird from my phone without having to step out into a blustery day. And here’s a bonus roast beast recipe

Heck, we’ve even cooked on electric. Sure, the chemical nature of the fire means there will not be any smoke ring, but that’s simply cosmetic. It can still make fantastic BBQ and is perfect for that big city apartment balcony that doesn’t allow gas or charcoal in the building.
