Recently I had the wonderful opportunity to chat with Brigitte Nguyen about entertaining tips for the Holidays. Brigitte exudes food fanaticism from every pore. She is someone I could sit down with and talk food for hours, if not days:

So who is Brigitte Nguyen? Here’s her bio:

Chef Brigitte Nguyen is a career-changer who left corporate accounting to cook the books in culinary school and the restaurant world. She jumped into food TV on two seasons of Food Network’s Ultimate Recipe Showdown hosted by Guy Fieri and won the $50,000 grand prize in the National Chicken Council’s cook-off. She has been a guest on Paula Deen’s Best Dishes and now hosts her own show on Cooking Channel, From the Kitchens Of…Brigitte also had the delicious opportunity to be a contributor on Cooking Channel’s Unique Sweets. In her home state of Kentucky, she created The Kentucky Proud Kitchen, a weekly cooking show that features simple, homemade recipes that highlight locally grown and produced ingredients. Brigitte has hosted over 150 episodes of the show and continues to produce new content every week, in addition to developing recipes and creating branded entertainment for some of America’s biggest food companies.

Simply put, she left the grind of the day to day job and chased her dream. That in and of itself is amazing. The fact that she not only achieved it, she has exceeded her dreams, makes her story extraordinary.

Brigitte partnered with Aldi’s this holiday season. Some of you are wrinkling your nose at that. You shouldn’t. Aldi’s has earned a second look. We shop there all the time. Just check out some of the amazing things you can create from Aldi’s ingredients.
