It’s that time of year again. The time when the Grillin’ Fools do what we can to give back, organizing an event in which lots of people can enjoy doing and eating what we love – sweet, smoky, succulent BBQ.

We’ve had a blast in the first two years, learning things along the way to make it better and God willing, this one will be the best one yet and considering the turn out last year, that’s going to be tough:

Just One Section of Competitors

For one, we are at another location this year. We’re at Fireside Hearth and Home otherwise known as Arnold Stove and Fire.

Hosting the Event

They are located at:

917 Arnold Commons Drive
Arnold, MO 63101

It’s three exits south of 255 on 55 in Arnold, Mo, across from the Lowe’s.

It will also be in a different month. We’ll be doing it in September this year. September 22nd to be specific.

The trophies will be very similar to these:

Hardware

About the only change we will be making is that the Best in Smoke trophy will be a little shorter and a little fatter. Basically, we know you like to display your hardware at other events and that one is so tall it blows over. It will still be an epic trophy!

Something else has changed – the categories. We still have ribs and chicken, like last year. But this year, you don’t have to bring the meat for one of the categories which will be a mystery ingredient that we will provide the day of the event. Sorry, no hints.

With a liquor license this year, the proceeds of the beer sales can go to the charity too!

Sadly, Pappy’s won’t be serving food at the event, but there will be plenty of samples for everyone to try from our competitors. But they are supporting the event and we certainly appreciate it. When you aren’t grilling in your back yard, head to Pappy’s as we can’t do an event like this without them.

Wicked Great Band

These guys are an amazing cover band. Their range is out of this world. They can cover Michael Jackson and then the Beatles with the next song and everything in between.

We even created a new web page for everything Backyard BBQ Bash related. www.BackyardBBQBash.com. That has all the pertinent information (like the fact that we’re doing a $5 raffle for a Big Green Egg!). Every year we will use that same website from now on.
